Kohomba Meliaceae is a tree in the mahogany family. It is one of two species of the genus Azadirachta, native to the Indian subcontinent, namely India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. It is usually grown in tropical and subtropical regions. Kohomba Lake is also found on the islands in the southern part of Iran. Its fruits and seeds are the source of the oil.
Kohomba tree stands out for its drought tolerance. It usually grows in sub-arid to sub-humid areas with an annual rainfall of 400-1,200 mm (16-47 in).
Height: 15-20 m (49-66 ft), and rarely 35-40 m (115-131 ft)
Leaves: Imperipinnet compound, exudate, dense; rachis 15-22.5 cm
Medicinal properties associated with: Natural antiseptics, reduce the exacerbation of kapha and bile defects
