This is also known as winnower in English and is used for a variety of purposes. Traditionally it was used for threshing paddy to separate it from other impurities. Many other household appliances have been replaced by the use of kulla. Today it is mostly used as jewelry or as home and restaurant decoration. Our kulla was made by highly skilled Sri Lankan artisans using a variety of techniques. The dry cane vines used for this are eco-friendly, safe and non-toxic material.
